What is zakatcalc.com ?
Zakatcalc.com is mainly a Zakat calculator web app that was developed with a core vision to facilitate Muslims to learn and calculate Zakat in an accessible way. We aim to help Muslims to learn and calculate Zakat with ease, insha-Allah.
Zakatcalc’s Zakat calculator has already gone through a few versions to get to this stage and has been verified by respected Aalim and Mufti.
How did we come about?
Every year at the time of Zakat calculation, we tried to find a way to calculate Zakat easily e.g. search for a Zakat calculator websites or apps to calculate Zakat. However they were not comprehensive and missed many required features, so we identified a gap. On one side of the spectrum, we saw a very basic independent zakat calculator. On the other side, we found slightly better zakat calculators which were available on the charity organisation’s website. We believe this gap can be bridged by creating a comprehensive, feature rich Zakat calculator independent of any charity organisation.
Going forward
Accessibility is one of our main priorities; hence we decided to create a Zakat calculator web app. Insha-Allah in the future we aim to launch Android and IOS apps too.
We aim to empower Muslims and give them the correct knowledge about Zakat, facilitate their Zakat calculation and donation to whoever they wish. This will have a positive impact on the future of many needy Muslims
